1 – Regardless of how much money you think it will make you, never click your own ads. Do not use an incentive program that rewards people for clicking your ads and do not ever encourage your readers to click your own ads. These methods will be discovered and it will result in your account being suspended.

2 - One of the best ways to know how your ads are performing is to track them and experiment. See how they are performing, and experiment with subtle changes to the layout. Once again track how they perform following those changes. Keep experimenting with layout and sizes, and tracking the results of your changes until you are satisfied with your results.

There is a lot written about what the best placement of ads is, but the general consensus is that the primary locations for ads is in the center and on the left of the page. This lets readers read a blog post about a specific subject and then see relevant ads related to that subject immediately below the post. 5 – One thing that many bloggers don’t think about when they undertake the action of adding outgoing links to their blog, whether as part of their sidebar or in the blog post, is the effect it may have on the readers of the blog clicking on the advertisements. The simple truth is though that the more outgoing links there are on any page of a blog, the more chance there is that a blog reader will click those instead of clicking the ads that are there. Placing unnecessary links on a blog could undermine the blogger’s attempts at making money.
